Mrs.
Angela Ryan:
The recent death occurred of Angela Ryan, wife of the
late (Tim) Timothy Ryan B.Sc on the 24th of November 2009 after
a short and dignified illness.
Angela was a native of Waterford City (Sallypark) where she worked
in Odlums Flour Mills Laboratory for a number of years.
When Angela
and Timothy got married they moved to Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford
and lived there for a short period of time. They then moved to
Co. Cavan in 1969, due to her husband’s position with the
Department of Agriculture. They resided in Bailieborough with
their family from 1972 where Angela was much admired by all her
neighbours and friends. She was a very sociable person and was
very much loved by her family; she devoted all her time to them
and was a wonderful, kind mother. Angela will be greatly missed
by her sons Timothy, John, Kevin and daughters Elaine and Alicia,
daughter-in-laws Jacinta, Eileen and Sue and Son-in-laws Anil
and Duncan and all her grandchildren.
Predeceased
by her sister Maura (R.I.P), and recently deceased brother Jack
(R.I.P.). Angela will be fondly remembered by her brother Gerry,
sister-in-laws May and Margo. Angela was laid to rest in St. Annes
Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Celtic A.F.C.:
The senior side’s game against ‘Chord’ was called
off on Sunday last. Next Sunday the side face near neighbours
Kingscourt at home at the Vale Grounds at 2.30pm. All support
welcome.
Cillian Sheridan
continued his scoring form midweek with the first goal in a 4-1
win against runaway SPL leaders Glasgow Rangers. His goal was
an absolute stunner and featured all week on the Sky Sports News
earning a top 3 position in the ‘Goal of the Week’
competition. He also featured in a lengthy interview with the
" Off the Ball " radio show from Newstalk. With Celtic
currently a long way behind their Glasgow neighbours and Cillian
being one of the few Celtic "employees" to actually
score against their archrivals this season, his 4th goal in 6
games will serve as a timely reminder!

they gave it their best’

group. Their highly colourful and energetic routine was a joy

for the win next year!

Shamrocks Under Age
Under
14s - Feile Champions Again
The under 14s have achieved the distinction of being County Cavan
Feile Champions for the second year in a row. Having qualified
for the semi final with a victory over Lacken, the Shamrocks then
took on Crosserlough in Kingspan Breffni Park. They emerged victorious
from this encounter to set up a final meeting with old rivals
Ramor United.
Having lost the under 13 final to the same opposition last year,
the Bailieborough lads were very determined to make amends and
they set about their task with great spirit. Playing against a
strong wind in the first half they led by 2 points at half time.
With the wind behind them they continued to take the game to their
opponents and ran out victorious in the end. Team captain Christopher
Dunne who weighed in with a goal in the final accepted the cup
and paid tribute to Ramor for a sporting game.
The team then returned to Bailieborough for a well deserved meal
in the Hotel Bailie. They now go on to represent Cavan in the
All Ireland Feile in Derry in early July.
The under
14s will be in action again on Thursday night when they play Cavan
Gaels in the league in Terry Coyle park.
Minors
The Minors hosted Ballyhaise on the Bank Holiday in the league.
Playing against a strong breeze in the first half they were behind
by 3 points at half time. However with the wind at their backs
in the second half they gained the upper hand and ran out winners
by 6 points at the end. This victory keeps the team in contention
but they will need to win their remaining 2 games to secure a
semi final spot.
Under 16s
The under 16s have their first leagues match this Friday night
when they take on Shercock in St Anne’s Park on Friday evening
at 7 pm.

riam grades are covered with piano and theory. Children as young

the Elementary grade and eventually culminating in the Senior
Certificate Grade. Theory Classes are taught from Grade 1 onwards.
