Mr. Tom Millar:
It was with deep regret that the people of Bailieborough learned of the sudden death of Mr Tom Millar of Curkish. Of quiet and pleasant disposition, Tom was born in 1935 and moved to Curkish in 1937. At the age of 16, Tom went to Scotland to work, where he stayed for four years. Tom then moved to England to work until 1972, when he returned home to his parents. He began work at the Bailieborough Foundry in 1975 until he took retirement in 1999 to look after his mother, whom he minded at home until her passing in September 2004.

Tom’s Funeral—which was large and representative—took place from Bailieborough Church of Ireland at which the Reverend Joyce Rankin officiated and he was then laid to rest in the family plot in Urcher Graveyard.
